With a little less than five minutes remaining in the game and the Clippers leading 95-82, Kobe Bryant missed a spinning lay-up, keying a transition opportunity for the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan outletted to Chris Paul, who quickly pushed the ball ahead to Griffin, who successfully leaked out behind Dwight Howard. Griffin received the pass on the run and lifted off from a step inside the free throw line, gliding towards the rim to complete the breakaway opportunity.
That's when things got interesting: slow motion replay cameras caught Griffin cradling the ball as if to lay it in before changing his mind and finishing the play with a dunk. Stick around for the final camera angle, as his hang time on the play is otherworldly and you can see him weighing his options as he cruises above the court.
Griffin finished with 24 points (on eight-for-18 shooting), 12 rebounds and five assists in the win, scoring nine points in the game's final 5:05 to help complete the Clippers' four-game season sweep of the Lakers.
The Clippers improved to 51-26 with the victory, securing the top spot in Pacific Division, their first division title in franchise history.
The Lakers dropped to 40-37 and are tied with the Jazz for the No. 8 seed, pending the result of Utah's Sunday night game against the Warriors in Oakland. Bryant and Howard each finished with 25 points in the losing effort.Video via YouTube user Maxa711Clips | Hat tip: @MaxaMillion711
