John Wall got a little poster payback when he dunked over Greg Monroe during Washington's 104-98 home loss to Detroit on Saturday.

With a little under eight minutes to go in the first quarter and the score tied at nine, Wall hit a hard left-to-right crossover dribble to drive past Brandon Jennings toward the right baseline. Monroe saw the play coming and got into fairly good position, although he was straddling the protected circle by the time Wall was taking off.

The 6-foot-4 Wall just detonated on the 6-foot-11 Monroe, who isn't exactly known for his shot-blocking abilities. Wall threw down with his left hand over a two-handed contesting effort from Monroe, and he glided past the Pistons big man just a touch to complete the highlight.

Have a look.

The slam stands as a bit of revenge for Wall, who was on the receiving end of a Monroe dunk in late-December.

Wall finished with a game-high 34 points (on 15-for-23), six assists and four rebounds for the Wizards, who fell to 19-20 with the loss. Martell Webster added 15 points (on 6-for-8 shooting), two rebounds and two assists for Washington in a losing effort.

Josh Smith led the Pistons with 22 points (on 8-for-17 shooting) and eight rebounds. Monroe added 12 points (on 5-for-7 shooting) and 10 rebounds for Detroit, who improved to 17-23 with the win.
