Sixers guard Evan Turner hit a game-winning runner at the buzzer to lift Philadelphia to a 95-94 road victory over Boston on Wednesday.

With less than five seconds remaining in the game and Boston leading 94-93, Turner worked against Jerryd Bayless one-on-one outside the three-point arc. Turner used a right-to-left crossover to free himself from Bayless, and he drove hard into Jared Sullinger, who provided good help defense just outside the protected circle.

Stuck without an escape route and the clock running down , Turner tossed up a leaning, double-clutch shot that rattled home as time expired.

It was the second time in two seasons that Turner has beaten the Celtics with a game-winner. Back in December 2012, he knocked down an overtime jumper to deliver a victory for Philadelphia over Boston. Earlier this season, Turner beat the Nets with an overtime buzzer-beater, too.

Turner finished with 16 points (on 6-for-17 shooting), eight assists and six rebounds. Spencer Hawes led Philadelphia with a team-high 20 points (on 7-for-14 shooting) and eight rebounds.

Sullinger paced the Celtics with a game-high 24 points (on 9-for-25 shooting) and 17 rebounds. Jeff Green added 18 points (on 5-for-13 shooting), six rebounds and four assists in a losing effort.

Philadelphia improved to 14-31 with the win. Boston dropped to 15-32 with the loss.
