David West and Pero Antic received double technical fouls after a nose-to-nose confrontation during the third quarter of the Hawks' 101-93 victory over the Pacers in Game 1 on Saturday in Indianapolis.

The two no-nonsense big men got tangled up during a Hawks possession early in the third quarter. Their joint frustrations continued to the other end, as Pacers point guard George Hill looked to set up a high pick-and-roll. As West attempted to set a screen for Hill, Antic shoved him out of position. Predictably, West took exception and went chest-to-chest with Antic. The two exchanged some heated words before their teammates and the officials intervened.

It was a rare moment of life from the top-seeded Pacers, who were embarrassed on their home court by a 38-44 eighth seed. Things cooled after the double technical fouls were issued and there were no further incidents.

Jeff Teague led the Hawks with a game-high 28 points (on 9-for-19 shooting) and five assists. Paul Millsap added 25 points (on 7-for-17 shooting) and eight rebounds.

Paul George had a team-high 24 points (on 6-for-18 shooting), 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals for Indiana. Lance Stephenson added 19 points (on 8-for-18 shooting) and seven rebounds.
