The Rockets "fear" swingman Gerald Green will miss the entire 2019-20 season due to a broken foot, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania

Green injured his foot in the Rockets preseason victory over the Raptors in Japan on Oct. 10. He initially hoped to be sidelined for only "a few months," per Charania.

2019-20 will be Green's third year in Houston. He averaged 9.2 points and 20.2 minutes per game in 2018-19 while shooting 35.4% from the field. Green shot just 30% in last year's playoffs.

Houston remains largely stocked on the wing despite Green's potential season-long absence. Eric Gordon, Danuel House and Austin Rivers return from last year's team, and Houston signed Thabo Sefolosha and Ben McLemore in the offseason.

The Rockets will take the court without Green in their last preseason game on Wednesday against the Spurs. Tip-off from the Toyota Center in Houston is slated for 7 p.m. ET.
