LeBron James, Chris Paul Out for Suns-Lakers

The first matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers will be missing some pretty big names.

Tonight, the Phoenix Suns will play host to the Los Angeles Lakers in what will be the first meeting between the two division rivals.

Both teams will be missing crucial pieces to their star-studded lineups, however.

Chris Paul hasn't played the last six games with a right heel injury, and he will be re-evaluated later in the week. The Suns are 3-3 with Cameron Payne starting in his place and 10-6 overall on the season.

The Lakers will be without LeBron James tonight as well, according to Lakers beat reporter Mike Trudell. He has missed the last four games due to injury, although the Lakers are 3-1 in that stretch. Los Angeles is still 5-10 on the season.

Anthony Davis (lower back) is probable.

As for the Suns, Landry Shamet is still out due to concussion protocol as well.

Phoenix looks to continue their winning streak over Los Angeles, sweeping the Lakers 4-0 last season.

Opening tip is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. Arizona time.
