ESPN: Suns Have Been Very Active in Trade Market

ESPN's Brian Windhorst says the Phoenix Suns have been quite active this week.

The Phoenix Suns have been adamant they're content with much of their roster through the obstacles the offseason provided us with.

The team ended up matching an offer sheet for Deandre Ayton, but sought out players such as Kevin Durant and Bojan Bogdanovic in trade talks. Their biggest addition of the offseason was Warriors backup guard Damion Lee.

Not much on the roster has moved for the Suns, not necessarily a bad thing if you've been to the NBA Finals and won 64 regular season games within the last two years.

Yet many feel as if Phoenix is still one or two pieces away from being a viable option to compete, with ESPN's Brian Windhorst confirming the team has indeed been exploring more avenues to add to their roster recently on "NBA Today":

"Active, and very active in the last week. They are conducting business, they are in trade negotiations right now. A lot of them are centered around Jae Crowder. Jae Crowder is a player who is available on the market right now, whether or not there is going to be a deal for him that materializes before now and next week's trade deadline, we'll have to wait and see," said Windhorst.

"But Jae Crowder is a guy in the last year of his contract and it's possible they could do a deal that they would bring back more money on. In folks that I'm talking to, they don't get the sense the Suns are afraid to continue to spend, that they would be spending more.

"It would not surprise me if the Suns get involved in the negotiations for Bojan Bogdanovic from the Utah Jazz, who is available on the market now. Several teams are bidding for him... So from a front office perspective, from the folks I'm talking to, the Suns are operating like a championship contender looking to improve their team heading into camp."
