Ankle tendinitis will keep LeBron James out of Lakers-Timberwolves clash
Timberwolves fans won't get to see LeBron James in action when the Lakers visit Minneapolis Thursday night.
The Lakers have ruled James out for the game because of tendinitis in his left ankle. The 39-year-old mega star played 37 minutes in L.A.'s 124-108 loss to the Bulls in Chicago on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Anthony Davis is not on the injury report despite tweaking his ankle in the third quarter against the Bulls. Davis returned to the game in the fourth quarter and finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds in 38 minutes.
The Lakers have dropped four straight games and at 15-13 they are six games behind the Western Conference-leading Timberwolves (20-6).
Minnesota, which lost in Philadelphia on Wednesday night, is the only team in the NBA that has yet to lost two consecutive games this season.
