Michael Jordan was once asked years ago to pick four players he’d want to team up with in a potential pickup game. His choices were former teammate Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon and James Worthy. NBC’s Craig Melvin asked Jordan if he’d switch any of them out for current NBA players. While Jordan said he wouldn’t, Melvin followed up by throwing Steph Curry’s name in the mix and asked if the Golden State Warriors star should be offended. Jordan responded, “I hope not. He’s still a great player, not a Hall of Famer yet though.” Sports Illustrated’s Robin Lundberg unpacks Jordan’s comments.
