Rams' Trumaine Johnson out 4 to 6 weeks with sprained MCL
St. Louis Rams starting cornerback Trumaine Johnson is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after suffering a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee, Rams coach Jeff Fisher said.
Johnson was hurt in the team’s 33-14 preseason win against the Cleveland Browns. Johnson started 12 games last season for St. Louis, recording 68 total tackles, three interceptions and 11 passes defensed.
Johnson was team’s third-round pick in the 2012 NFL draft and has recorded 99 tackles and five interceptions in his two seasons.
