New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz said he thinks he should be targeted more often.

Cruz was targeted six times and caught two passes for 24 yards in Monday night's 35-14 loss to the Detroit Lions. Quarterback Eli Manning threw more passes in the direction of two other Giants players: receiver Jerrel Jernigan (seven) and tight end Larry Donnell (eight). Manning completed 18 of his 33 pass attempts for 163 yards and one touchdown against two interceptions.

Cruz also said fellow receiver Rueben Randle, who was targeted only three times in the loss, should get more touches on offense.

Cruz caught 73 passes for 998 yards and four touchdowns last season, his fourth with the Giants after going undrafted out of UMass in 2010. Last summer, the 27-year-old signed a five-year, $43 million extension with the Giants.
