Buffalo Bills wide receiver Mike Williams was fined $11,025 for wearing red socks during the team's game last Sunday.
The socks violated the league’s uniform rules. The team-issued socks are blue and white.
The receiver explained his color choice as something he did to try to loosen up the Bills' locker room before the game.
"I try to put all the attention on me. Because everything I’ve been through, I know I can handle it," Williams told ESPN. "If we win, it’s all worth it. When you lose, that’s when you’re like, 'Should I do it?' But the money goes to somewhere good."
Williams was fined previously fined $5,512 for an unspecified uniform violation in the season opener.
