Friday October 3rd, 2014

Chicago Bears linebacker Shea McClellin will miss his third straight week Sunday, when he sits out Chicago's game against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, coach Marc Trestman confirmed on Thursday.

McClellin suffered a broken right hand in practice before the team's Week 3 matchup with the New York Jets. McClellin also missed Chicago's game against the Green Bay Packers the following week.

McClellin, in his third year in the league, underwent surgery after Week 3 and was declared "week to week" by Trestman. In three seasons, McClellin has lodged 25 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

The Bears are currently 2-2, fourth in the NFC North.
