The Broncos were consensus 10-point road favorites against the Jets as of Tuesday night, with Denver coming off its first against-the-spread (ATS) victory of the season last week when it topped the Arizona Cardinals 41-20 as an eight-point favorite. The Broncos had failed to cover the posted spread in each of their first three games of the season against the Colts, Chiefs, and Seahawks, and therefore head into their matchup with the Jets on Sunday at 3-1 SU but 1-3 ATS this season.

Manning put up huge numbers against the Cardinals, throwing for 479 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in that contest. Jets quarterback Geno Smith, meanwhile, went just 4-of-12 for 27 yards passing with an interception in his team's 31-0 road loss to the Chargers over the weekend, putting them at 1-4 straight-up (SU) and 0-4-1 ATS on the season. Smith was eventually benched for Michael Vick in that loss to San Diego.

The Broncos are 3-1 both SU and ATS in their last four games against the Jets heading into their game on Sunday afternoon, which is set to kick off at 1:00pm ET.

Other big favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for Sunday include Cincinnati -8.5 hosting Carolina, San Diego -8 on the road at Oakland, and Seattle -9.5 at home against Dallas. The Cowboys are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS on the season, and they're also 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Seahawks (who are 3-1 both SU and ATS). Seattle, though, has beaten Dallas both SU and ATS in their two most recent meetings.

The Philadelphia Eagles opened as three-point home favorites for their game against the rival New York Giants on Sunday night, while the St. Louis Rams opened as four-point home underdogs as they get a visit from the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. Week 6 gets underway on Thursday night with the Houston Texans hosting the Indianapolis Colts; Andrew Luck and company opened as two-point road favorites at the sportsbooks for that contest.

And in other notable matchups for Week 6 of the NFL season, the Browns are one-point home favorites against the Steelers, the Patriots are three-point road favorites against the Bills, and the Falcons are three-point home favorites against the Bears. Chicago has managed to pick up the ATS victory in seven of its last nine games against the Falcons for NFL bettors.
