San Diego Chargers vs. Denver Broncos

The top two teams in the AFC West meet on Thursday when the Broncos host the Chargers. Peyton Manning broke Brett Favre's career touchdown record during Denver's 42-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Chargers had their five-game winning streak snapped last week during their 23-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Week 7: Broncos 42, 49ers 17

Peyton Manning completed 22 of 26 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns while setting the career record for passing touchdowns. Demaryius Thomas caught eight balls for 171 yards and two touchdowns. The Broncos sacked 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick six times, including three from DeMarcus Ware and two from Von Miller.

Week 6: Broncos 31, Jets 17

The Broncos beat the Jets on the road as Peyton Manning threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns. Ronnie Hillman had 100 rushing yards on 24 carries while the Broncos held the Jets to 31 yards on the ground. Denver won the turnover battle 2-0, intercepting Geno Smith once and recovering a Walt Powell fumble.

Week 5: Broncos, 41, Cardinals 20

Peyton Manning threw for a career-high 479 yards on 31-of-47 passing with four touchdowns. He threw his 500th career touchdown, joining Brett Favre as the only players to reach that milestone. Denver outgained Arizona 568 to 215, and backup running back Ronnie Hillman rushed for 64 yards on 15 carries.

Week 3: Seahawks 26, Broncos 20

Denver lost the Super Bowl rematch against Seattle in overtime. Peyton Manning led the Broncos 80 yards in 35 seconds with no timeouts to tie the game late in the fourth, but the Seahawks won the coin toss and scored a touchdown on the first drive of overtime. Manning said after the game that the overtime rules "put a premium on the coin toss."

Week 2: Broncos 24, Chiefs 17

The Broncos withstood a fourth-quarter comeback attempt from Alex Smith and the Chiefs. Smith's pass to Dwayne Bowe on fourth-and-goal from the Denver two-yard-line with 18 seconds left was incomplete, and the Broncos won by a touchdown. Manning completed 21 of 26 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns. Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles left the game after only two carries with a sprained ankle.

Week 1: Broncos 31, Colts 24

Denver topped the Colts on Sunday Night Football in Week 1. Denver's balanced offensive attack (32 run plays, 36 pass plays) gained 361 yards. Indianapolis gained 408 yards of total offense but turned the ball over twice. Manning threw three touchdowns against his former team, all to tight end Julius ThomasAndrew Luck's fourth quarter comeback attempt stalled near midfield.


Week 7: Chiefs 23, Chargers 20

The Chargers lost on a field goal from Cairo Santos with 21 seconds remaining, their first home loss of the season. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers completed 17 of 31 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw an interception. The Chiefs dominated the time of possession battle, holding the ball for 39 minutes.

Week 6: Chargers 31, Raiders 28

After trailing 28-21 in the fourth quarter, the Chargers scored the last 10 points to complete the comeback victory. Philip Rivers completed 22 of 34 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns, and Malcolm Floyd had five catches for 103 yards. Rookie running back Branden Oliver ran 26 times for 101 yards and a touchdown as the Chargers had possession for more than 37 minutes.

Week 5: Chargers 31, Jets 0

The San Diego defense limited New York to 151 total yards. Philip Rivers threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns with just one interception. Branden Oliver, anundrafted rookie from Buffalo, came into Sunday’s game with 12 career carries for 34 yards, but he gashed the Jets for 114 yards and a touchdown on 19 attempts.

Week 4: Chargers 33, Jaguars 14

San Diego had a pair of 100-yard receivers, as Keenan Allen caught 10 balls for 135 yards and Eddie Royal made five grabs for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Philip Rivers threw for 377 yards and three touchdowns. The Chargers intercepted rookie Blake Bortles twice and also forced a fumble.

Week 3: Chargers 22, Bills 10

Malcolm Floyd made two 49-yard receptions on the day. Eddie Royal scored both San Diego touchdowns on receptions of three and five yards. Philip Rivers was 18-for-25 for 256 yards and two scores.

Week 2: Chargers 30, Seahawks 21

San Diego held the ball for 42:15 and had the game’s only takeaway. Antonio Gates had seven catches for 96 yards and three touchdowns. Philip Rivers threw for 284 yards and three scores.

Week 1: Cardinals 18, Chargers 17

Arizona won the game with 2:25 to go on a 13-yard touchdown pass from Carson Palmer to John BrownSan Diego led 17-6 after three quarters. Ryan Mathews gained half of his 40 yards on the day on a 20-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
