NFL odds: Carson Palmer injury impacting line in Cardinals vs. Lions

The Arizona Cardinals have the best record in the NFL heading into Week 11 of the season, but after opening as favorites for their Sunday home game against the Detroit Lions they've been losing support at the sportsbooks thanks to the grim injury news they got on Monday.

​The Cardinals, at 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS on the season, opened as three-point home favorites against the Lions at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com but subsequently fell into a pick'em situation after it was announced that starting quarterback Carson Palmer was going on injured reserve with a torn ACL. Drew Stanton will be the team's starter going forward.

Kickoff for the Lions vs. Cardinals betting matchup at University of Phoenix Stadium is set for 4:25pm ET, with Detroit entering the game at 7-2 SU and 5-4 ATS on the season. The Cardinals are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against the Lions dating back to 2006, with the OVER paying out in eight of their last 10 matchups.

The San Francisco 49ers, at 5-4 SU and 4-5 ATS on the season, open as three-point road favorites against the New York Giants for Sunday. The Niners are 1-5 both SU and ATS in their last half-dozen games against the Giants dating back to 2005.

Thursday Night Football this week features Buffalo at Miami, with the Dolphins opening as four-point home favorites for the AFC East clash at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The New England Patriots open as two-point road underdogs against the Indianapolis Colts for Sunday Night Football, with the Tennessee Titans sitting as four-point home underdogs against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the opening Week 11 NFL betting lines for Monday night.

And in two of the most anticipated matchups of the week, the New Orleans Saints open as 5.5-point home favorites against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Green Bay Packers opened as 4.5-point home favorites against the Philadelphia Eagles.
