SAN DIEGO (AP) The fading San Diego Chargers may get help from running back Ryan Mathews and linebacker Manti Te'o against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Mathews and Te'o practiced Friday and are expected to play this weekend.

Mathews has been out since Sept. 14 with a sprained right knee. He's listed as probable for Sunday.

''I think he has worked hard, not just these past couple of days, in getting back to where he is,'' coach Mike McCoy said. ''We will make that decision in the next couple of days of what we think he can do, if he plays, and how many snaps that he plays.''

Te'o, absent since the season's second week with a broken right foot, is probable.

The Chargers (5-4) are coming off their bye and trying to snap a three-game losing streak against the winless Raiders (0-9).

Linebacker Jerry Attaochu (hamstring), who has missed five of the past six games, is questionable.

Nose tackle Sean Lissemore (quad) is doubtful and hasn't worked since exiting the Chargers last game on Nov. 2. Center Rich Ohrnberger (back) didn't practice, but is probable for Sunday.

Cornerback Jason Verrett (shoulder) is out.

Linebacker Melvin Ingram (hip) continues to practice but he needs to be activated from injured-reserved to go on Sunday. McCoy said it's possible Ingram will play.
