It was a tough day for defensive backs.

Cleveland safety Tashaun Gipson, who leads the NFL with six interceptions, was carted off the field with a right knee injury after colliding with teammate Joe Haden. His knee bent awkwardly when he was in the air as he and Haden were defending on an incomplete pass to Atlanta's Julio Jones near the goal line.

Gipson was helped up and was supported as he tried to leave the field using only his left leg, but couldn't continue. He will have an MRI on Monday.

Miami lost cornerback Jamar Taylor to a shoulder injury against Denver. Broncos corner Aqib Talib tweaked his hamstring and was in and out of the game. Falcons cornerback Robert McClain left with a left calf injury in the third quarter.

Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller injured his left knee against the Buccaneers, and Chicago also lost linebacker Lance Briggs to a groin injury. Tampa Bay fullback Jorvorskie Lane went out with a right ankle injury.

Bengals right tackle Andre Smith injured his left biceps in the first quarter and didn't return. He said he'll get an MRI, but didn't provide any other details.
