Players on the winning team in the Super Bowl make $48,000 more than the losers. 

Winning the Super Bowl pays off -- literally. 

Playoff games aren't part of player salaries for the season. Instead, players on each team earn a bonus for each successive playoff game.

For the Super Bowl, players on the winning team receive $165,000, while players on the losing team receive $117,000, according to Darren Rovell.
