Bears hire Ohio State running backs coach Stan Drayton

The Chicago Bears have hired Ohio State running backs coach Stan Drayton for the same position, the Bears announced on Thursday. 

Drayton comes to Chicago after four seasons with the Buckeyes, including recently helping them win the national title.

He previously served as the running backs coach at Mississippi State, Florida, Tennessee and Syracuse, and was also the assistant offensive quality control & special teams coach for the Green Bay Packers from 2001 to 2003.

Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott ran for 1,878 yards and 18 touchdowns during the 2014 season. He was named MVP of the title game after rushing for 246 yards and four touchdowns against Oregon.
