Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey reached a multi-year extension with the team Friday, according to multiple reports

The extension is for five years and is worth $52.15 million with $22 million guaranteed, according to ESPN.com.

The deal will make Pouncey the highest-paid center in the NFL. Alex Mack of the Cleveland Browns was previously the NFL's highest-paid center, earning $8.8 million per season.

The University of Florida product is a four-year NFL veteran who started all but five of the Dolphins' games over a four-season span.
