Quarterback Jameis Winston scored a 27 out of 50 on his Wonderlic test, reports Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.

The Wonderlic is a cognitive ability test that is given to players at the NFL's scouting combine.

Last year, quarterback Johnny Manziel scored a 32 on the test, which was second of all quarterbacks in that class. Blake Bortles scored a 28 and Teddy Bridgewater scored a 20.

In 1998, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning scored a 28 on the Wonderlic, one point above Winston's mark. Other current NFL quarterbacks whose score is comparable to Winston include Russell Wilson (28), Joe Flacco (27) and Drew Brees (28).

Winston is widely regarded as the favorite for being selected No. 1 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the upcoming NFL draft.
