Packers tight end Quarless arrested in Miami for firing gun
Packers tight end Andrew Quarless was arrested in Miami early Saturday morning on a misdemeanor account of firing a gun in public.
The news was first reported by the Miami New Times. According to a police report, Quarless "fired two rounds" after an argument with a group of women outside a South Beach parking garage around 5:30 a.m. Saturday. He shot a .45 caliber weapon once "straight up into the sky," according to the New Times.
Quarless allegedly then parked the car and hid from police outside a local tavern while also attempting to hide his firearm inside a potted plant. Police found the weapon and matched the rounds on the ground near the garage with the gun.
According to NFL.com, there were no injuries and Quarless is still in police custody as of Saturday afternoon.

"According to the parking attendant, Quarless and another man — identified as Michael Ritchie, a 31-year-old from New York — were leaving the garage in a black Porsche Panamera when they approached a white car filled with several women. An argument ensued, with the attendant hearing the women yell "No, get away, leave me alone!"
Quarless, 26, caught 29 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns last season.
