Perry joins Matthews among Packers LBs missing practice

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Nick Perry joined Clay Matthews among linebackers held out of practice because of injuries on Thursday at Green Bay Packers training camp.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Perry has a sore groin. Matthews missed his third straight practice because of knee soreness, and McCarthy said he is sitting out as a precaution.

Outside linebacker Mike Neal is getting close to returning from an abdominal injury. For now, that leaves Julius Peppers as the only healthy member among Green Bay's top four pass rushers.

McCarthy doesn't appear too worried about the injuries.

The Packers did get Eddie Lacy back after the starting running back left practice on Tuesday with a sore foot. The team had a day off on Wednesday.
