Saints running back Khiry Robinson was reportedly fined for striking a team intern in the head during training camp.
The NFLPA is reportedly investigating the league's handling of a Personal Conduct Policy interview with Robinson in wake of the incident. The Saints followed policy and reported the incident, but the league's investigation included an initial interview without a union representative present (another interview that included a rep followed the next day).
According to the report, Robinson was fined following the altercation, which arose from a money dispute between Robinson, another player and the intern after they were driven to a store to get their phones fixed. The other player paid the intern for the help, Robinson declined because his phone did not get fixed. Their argument ended with Robinson striking the intern in the head.
Robinson, 25, ran for 362 yards and three touchdowns last season.
