NFL odds: Chiefs favored over Broncos for Thursday Night Football
Week 2 of the 2015 NFL schedule kicks off with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. The Chiefs opened as a two-point favorite, but that line has climbed to a field goal at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.
The point total for the Broncos vs. Chiefs betting matchup opened at 45 points, but has slipped to 42 at several sportsbooks. The first half line is set at Chiefs -1.5, with the total set at 21.
The Broncos are coming off a 19–13 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, which covered the spread but went UNDER the total. The Broncos have won five straight against the Chiefs, and covered four of those five.

Denver is also 12–0 SU and 11–1 ATS in divisional road games over the last four seasons. The last time the Broncos were an underdog was last November at Kansas City. They were underdogs twice last year, splitting those two games both SU and ATS.
The Chiefs are coming off a 27–20 Week 1 win on the road against the Houston Texans. The Chiefs covered the spread and went OVER the total. Kansas City is 6–1 in its last seven home games, but 1–5 ATS in its last six at home against Denver. Prior to last November’s matchup, Kansas City had not been favored against Denver since 2011. The Chiefs lost outright in both those games.
The total has gone UNDER in five of the Broncos' last seven games, and nine of the Chiefs' last 13 games. It has gone UNDER seven of the last nine between these two teams, and four of the last five in Kansas City.
The OddsShark Computer is projecting a close one Thursday. It has the Chiefs winning 18.6-18.3, which would provide for a Broncos cover and the UNDER.

The Chiefs have 14 players on this week’s injury list, but all are listed as probable and practiced in full on Wednesday.
The Broncos have three players listed as questionable, with all three limited in Tuesday and Wednesday practices. Running back C.J. Anderson (ankle, toe), defensive end Malik Jackson (concussion) and safety Darian Stewart (groin) are all expected to play, but remain question marks to a certain degree.
