NFL Week 2 injury roundup: Cutler, Williams, Hyde leave with injuries
Sunday September 20th, 2015

49ers running back Carlos Hyde left Sunday’s game against the Steelers with a head injury and has been cleared to return.

The second-year back walked to the locker room under his own power after trainers assessed him on the sideline in the third quarter and was evaluated for a concussion.

Mike Davis, in his NFL debut, took over at running back with Hyde out. Former Australian rugby star Jarryd Hayne remained on the sideline.

Backup running back Reggie Bush was held out of the game with a left calf injury.

Hyde took over starting duties this year after the 49ers let go of veteran back Frank Gore in free agency. He ran for 168 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1.
