New York Jets hold Darrelle Revis out of practice with groin injury

Thursday September 24th, 2015

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis missed practice Wednesday with a groin injury, according to the team’s injury report.

Jets coach Todd Bowles did not elaborate on Revis’s injury during his post-practice media session. It is not clear if Revis will this Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

Revis had one interception and two fumble recoveries in the Jets’ Week 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He did not miss any time during the game.

The Jets already survived one cornerback scare this season. Antonio Cromartie played last week after sustaining a knee injury in Week 1. Revis was one of eight Jets who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, a list including Chris Ivory and Willie Colon.

Revis signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Jets in March. He played in all 32 games the last two seasons with the Buccaneers and Patriots.
