Rams vs. Steelers kicks off after fire-on-field delay
The St. Louis Rams game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was delayed after pyrotechnics set fire to the turf, according to multiple reports.
The game kicked off shortly before 1:30 p.m., nearly a 30-minute delay. The game was delayed as the grounds crew tried to clean up the burnt astroturf.

Eight minutes after the game’s scheduled start time, the Rams finished clearing up the “charred turf,” but the game remained delayed, according to NBC Sports’s Patrick Daugherty. The teams were eventually sent back to the locker room
