Green Bay Packers wide receiver Ty Montgomery exited Sunday’s game against the Chargers with a left ankle injury and will not return, the team announced

In the second quarter, Montgomery was tackled after receiving a shovel pass and running to get a first down. The rookie struggled to put pressure on his leg and needed assistance to leave the field. He was eventually taken to the locker room on a cart.

Montgomery was a third-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft out of Stanford. This season he has seen action in all five game with 13 catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

The Packers have dealt with numerous injuries to their receivers this season. Top receiver Jordy Nelson is out for the season with a torn ACL and Davante Adams is inactive Sunday with an ankle injury. It is the third consecutive game Adams has missed.
