NFL Odds: Seahawks road favorites against 49ers on Thursday night

The Seahawks opened as a four-point favorite against the San Francisco 49ers on the road for Thursday Night Football.

The NFL kicks off Week 7 of its schedule with an NFC West matchup featuring the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks opened as a four-point favorite, but the line has climbed as high as seven points at some sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

The moneyline has the Seahawks between -270 and -300, and the 49ers between +225 and +250.

The Seahawks have dominated this series in recent years, covering the spread in eight straight games. The Seahawks are 5-1 straight up in their last six games against the 49ers, but 1-5 SU in their last six road games against the 49ers according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

They are 0-5 ATS in their last five games as an October road favorite. On the season, the Seahawks are 2-4 SU and 1-4-1 ATS.

The Seahawks come into the game in fairly decent health. Numerous starters including CB Richard Sherman, LB Bobby Wagner, DE Cliff Avril, SS Kam Chancellor, RB Marshawn Lynch, and OG Justin Britt are listed as probable. All are expected to play, including Wagner, who sat out Week 6 with a strained pectoral muscle.

The 49ers are also 2-4 SU this season, but 3-3 ATS. They are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 October games, but are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall. They have struggled particularly at home, where they are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games.

The 49ers have three notable players listed as questionable. WR Anquan Boldin, RB Carlos Hyde, and RT Erik Pears are all questionable, but are expected to play. Boldin and Pears sat on Monday, but practiced Tuesday and Wednesday. Hyde is dealing with a nagging foot injury that slowed him in Weeks 5 and 6. He was limited this week, but is expected to play.

The total opened at 41.5 points, but has climbed to 42.5 points. The total has gone UNDER in the last five games between these two teams, and in four of their last six matchups in San Francisco. The total has gone OVER in six of the Seahawks' last nine games, and in four of the 49ers' last five games. It has gone UNDER in eight of the 49ers' last ten home games.

The OddsShark Computer predicts a Seahawks victory, by a score of 25.5-19.5. That would provide for the 49ers cover on more recent wagers, and would provide for the OVER.
