The New England Patriots are activating wide receiver Brandon LaFell off the physically unable to perform list, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

LaFell has missed the first six weeks of the season because of a foot injury. LaFell is now expected to play in New England’s Week 7 matchup with the New York Jets after participating in practice during the week.

LaFell caught 74 passes for 953 yards and seven touchdowns last season, his first with New England. LaFell played the first four years of his career with the Carolina Panthers.

Aaron Dobson and Keshawn Martin took over for LaFell’s spot in the lineup during his absence. Julian Edelman leads the Patriots in receiving with 40 catches for 449 yards and four scores.
