NFL Week 11 Odds: Bortles, Jags favored over Mariota, Titans on TNF

Blake Bortles and the Jaguars are favored over Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans in their Week 11 AFC South matchup.

The NFL kicks off Week 11 of its schedule with a matchup of sub-.500 AFC South teams that are still in their divisional race. The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans, matching up rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota and second-year quarterback Blake Bortles.

The Jaguars opened as three-point favorites and the line has stuck right around there at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The moneyline has the Jaguars between -145 and -155, and the Titans between +125 and +135.

The Jaguars have dominated this series, going 7-1-1 against the spread in the last nine games between the two teams. The Jaguars covered both games last season, with a 21-13 home victory and a 16-14 straight-up loss on the road.

Jacksonville is 4-1-1 against the spread in its last six home games against the Titans according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

The Titans enter the game 2-7 straight up but 4-5 against the spread on the season. They are coming off a 27-10 loss to the Panthers in which they failed to cover. They are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight road games, but are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven Thursday Night Football contests.

The Titans will be without wide receivers Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter due to injuries. They will also be without cornerbacks Jason McCourty and Blidi Wreh-Wilson, but will welcome back Perrish Cox. Outside linebacker Derrick Morgan, second on the team in sacks, is questionable.

The Jaguars enter the game 3-6 straight up but 5-4 against the spread. They have covered three straight, including outright wins over Baltimore and Buffalo. They are 4-2 against the spread in their last six games, but 6-13-1 against the spread in their last 20 home games. This marks only their second game this season as a favorite; they lost 31-30 as a 2.5-point favorite to the Houston Texans in October.

The Jaguars are expected to have running back T.J. Yeldon and wide receiver Allen Hurns in the lineup. Both are listed as questionable, but practiced this week. Outside linebacker Dan Skuta is also questionable with a groin injury

The point total opened at 44 and has settled in at 43. The total has gone UNDER in eight of the last 11 games between these two teams, and in the last five games between them in Jacksonville. The total has gone UNDER in four of the Titans' last six games, and OVER in four of the Jaguars' last five games.

The OddsShark Computer predicts a 26.1-19.5 Jaguars victory. That would provide the Jaguars cover, and the OVER.
