Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz sustained a concussion during the team’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, the team announced.

Ertz attempted to get around a defender on third down in the second quarter, but fell and hit his neck on the ground. He was taken to the locker room to be evaluated after the fall.

At the time of Ertz’s injury, the Eagles were trailing 14–7. The team went on to lose the game 45–17.

Ertz had two catches for 12 yards before leaving the game. He has 38 receptions for 394 yards this season.

Ertz’s status for the Eagles’ game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday is uncertain.
