There are plenty of intriguing matchups on the horizon in Week 15, but none more so than the Pittsburgh Steelers playing host to the Denver Broncos. Denver has a comfortable lead atop the AFC West, but Pittsburgh is in a dogfight to capture a playoff berth, and that makes this game the one to keep an eye on this week.

Pittsburgh has had an up-and-down season, but that’s been in large part due to the health of its quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers are coming off an emotional victory over the Bengals, and while they should be able to get up for this game since their playoff lives are on the line, they could find themselves a little bit flat here.

Denver dropped a tough 15–12 decision at home to the Raiders a week ago, but digging deeper into that matchup reveals that the Broncos were very unlucky to lose that game. Denver surrendered just 126 yards of total offense to Oakland, but were done in by a pair of untimely fumbles.

Despite the loss, it’s apparent that the Broncos are better with Brock Osweiler under center than they were with Peyton Manning, and this will be a good opportunity to prove that they’re still a contender in the AFC.

The Broncos are 5–2 SU in their last seven games on the road against the Steelers according to the OddsShark NFL Database, and this series has historically gone the way of the underdog as the favored team is just 2–5 ATS in its last seven games in this matchup.

The Broncos are also 7–1 SU and ATS in their last eight games on the road in December, and a perfect 4–0 SU and ATS in their last four games as underdogs. The Steelers are for real, but this line is simply too large in a game that will likely be decided by one score or less. We’ll grab the Broncos +7 as this game comes down to the wire.
