Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett wasn’t impressed with Rams rookie Todd Gurley’s performance in Seattle’s loss to St. Louis on Sunday.
Gurley carried 19 times for 85 yards and scored a touchdown in the Rams' 23-17 win. He also fumbled once but it was recovered by the Rams. After the game, Bennett said Gurley was “average.”
Michael Bennett, stoking Rams-Seahawks rivalry, on Todd Gurley: he's average to me, personally. I've seen better running backs.— Greg Bishop (@GregBishopSI) December 28, 2015
Gurley, a first-round pick out of Georgia, is third in the NFL in rushing yards per game behind Adrian Peterson and Doug Martin. He missed the first two games of the season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in November of last year while in college.
