Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy will miss his second straight game with a knee injury on Sunday against the New York Jets, the team announced Friday.

McCoy missed last Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, after sustaining the injury Dec. 20 against the Washington Redskins. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported McCoy has a minor MCL tear.

Bills head coach Rex Ryan said earlier this week that McCoy’s chances of playing Sunday weren’t good.

McCoy, 27, ran for 895 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games this season. Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee will again split carries in his absence.

The Bills (7–8) take on their AFC East rival Jets (10–5) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, with the Jets needing a win to keep their playoff chances alive.
