The Broncos recovered their second fumble of the game after Darian Stewart knocked the ball loose from Mike Tolbert.

The turnover bug is hitting the Panthers during the Super Bowl.

Carolina fumbled the ball over to Denver for the second time in the second quarter. Darian Stewart knocked the ball free from Mike Tolbert, and Danny Trevathan recovered for the Broncos. It was Tolbert’s second fumble of the game, although his first was recovered by Carolina.

The fumble was Tolbert’s first lost fumble as a Panther. Denver took over the ball leading 13–7.
