Former Ohio State star and Heisman winner Troy Smith was arrested on DUI charges Sunday morning in Ohio.

Former Ohio State star and Heisman winner Troy Smith was arrested on DUI charges Sunday morning in Ohio, according to the Columbus Dispatch

Smith was pulled over for missing his front license plate and weaving, according to the arresting officer. He blew a 0.143 on a Breathalyzer test, well over the legal limit.

He was also charged with possession of marijuana.

Smith retired from football in 2014 after spending time in the NFL, CFL and United Football League. He last played in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers in 2010.

He played at Ohio State from 2003 to 2006, winning the Heisman his senior season.
