New Vikings stadium gets harsh reviews after 1st concert

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The new U.S. Bank Stadium is getting some harsh reviews after its first concert.

The downtown Minneapolis stadium hosted country superstar Luke Bryan on Friday evening. But many of the 46,000 fans faced very long lines to get inside. Fans who paid for high-priced floor seats had trouble getting to them because stadium staffers ran out of the wristbands required for floor admission. Long lines were also reported for women's restrooms and concessions.

Many people who drove to the sold-out show also got a surprise. While street parking used to cost $15 around the old Metrodome, it now costs $25, even several blocks away.

However, Metro Transit says departing fans had a much easier time boarding buses and trains than after the stadium's inaugural event, a soccer match Aug. 3.
