New England Patriots running back will undergo a second surgery to repair a torn ACL, reports Jim McBride of the Boston Globe.

Lewis has spent most of his time on the physically unable to perform list since suffering the injury on Nov. 8 and having the first procedure. He participated in one spring OTA session earlier this year.

McBride reports that the timetable for Lewis’s return is uncertain.

Lewis played well as New England’s starter before the injury. The 25-year-old carried the ball 49 times for 234 yards, to go along with 36 catches for 388 yards.
