It felt like the San Francisco 49ers were cursed with injuries since every week a key player of theirs has been sustained something. Well now Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, the 49ers finally catch a break with cornerback Aqib Talib ruled out and running back Todd Gurley listed as doubtful.

This is great news for the 49ers who are without three critical blockers on their offense with both starting offensive tackles out and fullback Kyle Juszczyk. The bigger lost for the Rams has to be Talib since now it dwindles their depth at corner.

One of the ways that the 49ers are going to overcome the loss of their offensive tackles is by utilizing quick passes. What better way to ensure safety for Jimmy Garoppolo than to get the ball out of his hands quick. He has been doing an exceptional job so far as he has the quickest release in all of football.

With Talib out, the Rams lose their best corner in press coverage, which is the best way to stop the 49ers from getting the ball out quick. Now the 49ers will have a good shot to move the chains with their wide receivers getting open.

On the defensive side of the ball, San Francisco was already in a good spot. With Gurley likely being ruled out for Sunday it will just make it an easier job for the defense who haven't allowed a rushing touchdown this season.

That streak is poised to live on after Sunday since I sincerely doubt backup running back Donald Brown will gash the defense of the 49ers. Things were looking bleak for the red and gold, but at least with some of these injuries the Rams have sustained to key players the playing field becomes a bit more leveled.
