Week seven is finally here for the San Francisco 49ers. The red and gold have a prime opportunity to remain undefeated as they take on the lowly Washington Redskins.

This game screams trap game, so the 49ers must not get complacent. It doesn't matter how good the 49ers are if they come into the game expecting a win. Luckily, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan does a stellar job at keeping the team composed.

As a matter of fact, this week could be a little extra motivation for him after the comments he made about his tenure in Washington. This is a game that the 49ers must come away with so they can stay ahead of the Seattle Seahawks in the division.

Today's game looks like it will be wet and soggy, which means both teams will have to heavily run the football. The conditions will play to the 49ers' strengths.

Stay tuned with us for all of your scoring updates and some analysis as we go along.

49ers Injury Report

Washington Injury Report

1st Quarter

15:00 - Washington will open the game with the ball to try and put the 49ers in an early hole. 49ers gave up a touchdown last week on the opening drive against the Rams.

6:46 - The offensive pounding of Washington with Adrian Peterson drained more than half of the time in the first quarter. However, it is all for naught as they miss wide right of their field goal kick. 49ers defense needs to adjust to the run attack of Washington.

3:42 - San Francisco does not have as much success on their opening drive as Washington. They punt the ball away after just three minutes of possession. Washington defense playing disciplined defense, which is key against Kyle Shanahan.

1:58 - Washington has no where near the same success as their first drive. 49ers defense puts the clamps on them. Once again, Washington deferring to a run heavy offense. Nick Bosa is making his presence felt early on with three tackles, two for a loss.

End of the quarter: Little to no action so far in this game. Both teams are set on running heavily, which given the conditions is the best idea. However, the 49ers are gonna have to sling it here and there if they want to get any points today.

2nd Quarter

11:00 - Robbie Gould kicking woes continues this season as he misses another field goal.

49ers 0 Washington 0

4:02 - Stuffed! 49ers bring Thanksgiving early for Washington with a stuffing on fourth down to turnover on downs. Washington remains run heavy, which isn't going to get it done against this front of the 49ers. Robert Saleh moved Julian Taylor over at nose tackle, which has been a solid adjustment against the run.

2:00 - This game remains scoreless. 49ers are forced to punt after two failed pass plays that stalled out the drive. Clearly, this rain is making it tough for these players to execute pass plays. But the rain is making both offense's predictable since they want to run the ball. This game is definitely going to be low scoring.

1:31 - Sacked! Dee Ford with his first game of the sack to put him at 4.5 sacks on the year. The sack will give the 49ers offense a chance to put up their first points of the game if they can move the ball.

Halftime: Sloppy game of football in the first half between the 49ers and Washington. The rain is making it tough because of the soggy field. It is making the passing game for both teams irrelevant. However, that is going to be the key to winning this game for both teams. Whoever can start having success passing should win. Let's see how Kyle Shanahan adjusts to this game.

3rd Quarter

12:30 - Interception! Jimmy Garoppolo is picked off after the 49ers tried to convert on fourth down. Garoppolo was trying to connect with Dante Pettis, but Garoppolo didn't put enough on the ball. 49ers will maintain their goose egg on the scoreboard.

49ers 0 Washington 0

10:05 - Arik Armstead joins the sack party with a take down of Case Keenum. That is now 3.5 sacks on the year for Armstead. Defense comes up huge to negate the interception thrown by Garoppolo.

5:28 - The kick is good! Robbie Gould nails his second attempt of the game to put the 49ers on the board for the first time. San Francisco's offense moved the ball well on that drive by finding success in the air. That is the key to winning this game.

49ers 3 Washington 0

1:20 - Fumble! Adrian Peterson fumbles the ball and is recovered by Julian Taylor. Taylor has been one of the best players today. 49ers with a chance to increase their lead.

End of the quarter: 49ers have been moving the ball due to the success of the pass. They just converted on third down on a clutch play to George Kittle. 49ers must continue to air it out to a degree if they want to escape with a win.

4th Quarter

9:03 - 49ers fail to reach the endzone, but do come away with a field goal to increase their lead. The drive consisted of fourth down conversions that had the 49ers knocking on the door for a touchdown.

49ers 6 Washington 0

0:23 - Ice! 49ers ice the game behind the leg of Robbie Gould. San Francisco 49ers will remain undefeated and improve to 6-0. It wasn't pretty, but they got the job done.

Final: 49ers 9 Washington 0
