When a 5-0 team takes on a team that is 1-5, it’s hard not to think of it as a trap game.

This very well is a trap game for the San Francisco 49ers against the Washington Redskins, who barely sealed their first victory last week. It has been a drama filled season for Washington, which isn’t anything new for their franchise. From Trent Williams’ holdout to the firing of Jay Gruden.

It’s really hard not to see the 49ers coming out of this with a win. However, Kyle Shanahan is not overlooking Washington just because of their record. He will be treating this game like any other, except maybe their might be a bit of motivation.

Shanahan spent some time as the offensive coordinator in Washington and recently spoke about his tenure there. He essentially said that his time there was not thrilling aside from working with his dad Mike Shanahan who was the head coach.

There could be some emotions deep down inside Kyle Shanahan that will want him to absolutely destroy Washington. That likely will be the case regardless of his intent for revenge. San Francisco is just outright better than them from top to bottom.

Washington hardly has any bright spots other than rookie sensation Terry McLaurin and Landon Collins. No one else on there team beats the 49ers from a standpoint nor should cause a concern. It is going to take some very strong complacency for the 49ers to lose this one.

This game is one that they mustn’t toy with because the Seattle Seahawks have remained on par with them thus far at 5-1. Seattle will be hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, which could come down to the wire. If the San Francisco 49ers are the elite team we think they are, then they will handle their business in the nations capital to remain undefeated.
