Friday April 26th, 2013

The Atlanta Falcons drafted Washington cornerback Desmond Trufant with the 22nd pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, after moving up eight spots in a trade with the St. Louis Rams.

The Falcons traded their first-round pick (No. 30) to the Rams, along with the 92nd and 198th overall picks in the draft.

Trufant was the third cornerback off the board, after the New York Jets selected Alabama's Dee Milliner with the ninth pick and the Oakland Raiders drafted Houston cornerback DJ Hayden with the 12th pick. Desmond Trufant is the brother of NFL cornerbacks Marcus and Isaiah.
