NFL teams can begin discussing contracts with pending free agents Saturday during the legal tampering period ahead of the official start of free agency on Tuesday. However, Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett doesn't want to wait.
Dockett took to Twitter to welcome and congratulate his "new teammate" Branden Albert to the Cardinals. Dockett quickly deleted the tweet, but thanks to the wonderful powers of technology the tweet did not completely disappear.

While Dockett was likely just having some fun and acknowledging that he would like to see the Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle join the Cardinals, there could be some actual interest from the team.
The Cardinals reportedly will "make a big run" to fill their need at left tackle in the offseason, so perhaps Dockett can just save the tweet in his drafts and post it again in a few days when the message would not be viewed as illegal tampering from the league.
Tampering has attracted the league's attention in past years and led to investigations that ended up causing teams to forfeit draft picks, but it is highly unlikely that the league will take any action on a message that was filled with emojis. The latest NFL free agency rumors, buzz
