Rookie running back David Montgomery will try to tough it out and will play in Sunday night's Bears game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Montgomery suffered an ankle injury earlier in the week and practiced Wednesday on a limited basis, not at all Thursday, but then did practice again on a limited basis Friday. 

Montgomery hasn't missed a game yet. He has 466 yards on 129 carries (3.6 yards a carry) and 18 catches for 133 yards. He has five rushing touchdowns.

Montgomery will be backed up by Ryan Nall and Tarik Cohen.

Bears inactives are defensive back Duke Shelley, linebacker Isaiah Irving, linebacker Danny Trevathan, tight end Adam Shaheen, defensive end Abdullah Anderson and guard Alex Bars.
