Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks returned to the lineup Sunday after a one-game absence with a knee injury suffered Sept. 23 against Washington.

Also active after missing last week's game against Minnesota were linebacker Roquan Smith and guard Kyle Long. Long was out with a hip injury and Smith for what the team vaguely labeled a "personal issue."

As expected, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is inactive with a left shoulder injury. Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel (concussion), guard Ted Larsen (knee) and defensive end Bilal Nichols (hand) are inactive. Other inactives are cornerback Duke Shelley, linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe (hamstring) and wide receiver Riley Ridley.

The Bears elevated quarterback Tyler Bray from the practice squad on Saturday and he'll serve as backup to quarterback Chase Daniel. Tight end Bradley Sowell was waived to make room for Bray on the roster.
