Bengals First Rounder Dax Hill Was High on Cowboys' Draft Board

Cincinnati took Hill with the 31st overall pick

CINCINNATI — Cowboys owner Jerry Jones leaked their draft board on Thursday after they picked offensive lineman Tyler Smith with the 24th overall pick.

Jones was trying to show that Dallas had Smith ranked ahead of offensive guards Zion Johnson and Kenyon Green. Both players were drafted ahead of Smith.

TV cameras were able to grab a shot of the paper that Jones held up during the news conference. Jon Machota of The Athletic was able to figure out the first 34 names on the Cowboys' board.

Bengals safety Dax Hill was 18th on their board and ranked ahead of other potential targets including Tyler Linderbaum, George Karlaftis and Devonte Wyatt.

Cincinnati ended up taking Hill with the 31st overall pick. He was clearly the highest-graded player on their board at the time.

It's nice to know that another team had Hill in their top-20.
