CINCINNATI — The Ravens are signing veteran offensive lineman Ja'Wuan James to a two-year deal according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The contract is worth up to $9 million and includes $500,000 guaranteed in 2021.
James recently suffered a torn Achilles while training and is expected to miss this season. He's expected to make a full recovery and return to the field in 2022.
James could earn up to $8 million next season. He still needs to undergo a physical for the contract to be finalized. The examination won't include his current injury.
The Broncos released James last month following his injury. He opted out of the 2020 season.
The Ravens are banking on James to return to his pre-injury form. He joins a Baltimore team that's hoping to make a deep playoff run this season.
